John Y. Kim
Chairman and CEO, New York Life Investment Management
KACF is delighted to announce that John Y. Kim, Chairman and CEO of New York Life Investment Management and member of the KACF President's Council, will be our Corporate Honoree at the 2013 Annual Gala.
Mr. Kim joined New York Life in 2008 after an impressive 25-year record as a highly successful business executive with deep knowledge of investment management and strong operational skills running numerous businesses. Prior to joining New York Life, he had been president of Prudential Retirement, where he led its defined benefit, defined contribution and guaranteed products businesses, and before that, he was president of CIGNA Retirement and Investment Services. Mr. Kim also spent 17 years with Aetna Life & Casualty, where he rose to the position of CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Aeltus Investment Management as well as CIO of Aetna Life Insurance and Annuity Company.

Keynote Speaker
Martha Choe
Chief Administrative Officer, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
KACF is thrilled to confirm Martha Choe as the keynote speaker of the 2013 Annual Gala. We are particularly excited for her presence after Hurricane Sandy disrupted her ability to attend and address the 10th Anniversary Gala last fall.
As Chief Administrative Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Ms. Choe oversees the Human Resources, Grantee Partnership, Enterprise Project Management, Security, and Global Workplace Resource operations teams. She joined the foundation in 2004 as the Director of the Global Libraries initiative in the Global Development Program. Before joining the foundation, Ms. Choe served as the director of the Washington State Department of Community, Trade and Economic Development. Prior to that, she was elected to two four-year terms on the Seattle City Council and was a vice president at the Bank of California Credit Administration, Commercial and Private Banking. She also taught high school in Eugene, Oregon.
Ms. Choe is a former chair of the White House Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islanders, and currently serves on the boards of The Seattle Foundation, CRAFT3, Gates Cambridge Trust and the Seattle Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.

Juju Chang
ABC News Correspondent
KACF is pleased to have Juju Chang return as the emcee of the 2013 Annual Gala. Ms. Chang is an Emmy Award-winning special correspondent and fill-in anchor for ABC News "Nightline," and also reports regularly for "Good Morning America" and "20/20."
A former news anchor for "Good Morning America," Ms. Chang had previously anchored the early morning newscasts "World News Now" and "World News This Morning" in 2000. She began her career at ABC News as a desk assistant and eventually became a producer at "World News Tonight." She rose to become a correspondent while based in Washington, DC, covering the White House, Capitol Hill and the 1996 presidential election. Prior to her assignment in Washington, she reported for San Francisco's KGO-TV from 1995-96.
Ms. Chang is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and is a founding Board member of KACF.
