(KACF) transforms and empowers the Korean American and Asian American communities through philanthropy, volunteerism and inter-community bridge building. KACF pursues these goals by awarding grants to deserving organizations that promote self-sufficiency for the underserved and under-resourced, by raising awareness of vital needs and issues within these communities and fostering a culture of giving.
KACF hosted its first Gala in 2006 and it has since grown to become one of the most highly anticipated and influential social events for supporters of the Korean American and Asian American communities in the Greater New York area. The Gala provides the perfect opportunity each year to honor the accomplishments of extraordinary individuals and organizations.
The KACF Annual Gala brings together nearly 1,000 community leaders and philanthropists to celebrate the important work of our grantee partners and to recognize their tremendous accomplishments.
Over the past 15 years, thanks to corporations, foundations and donors, KACF has been able to award more than $5.4 million in grants to community-based organizations that lift up our neighbors through job trainings, affordable housing, ESL classes, and more. For our donors, we magnify the impact of their giving and build bridges across generations and communities.
