In response to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on our families and neighbors, we launched the KACF COVID-19 Community Action Fund in March to provide immediate and longer-term support to the most vulnerable among us.
As of today, in two rounds of grants, we have distributed $160,000 to 13 nonprofit organizations that are providing critical services to low-income Korean/Asian American individuals and families in the following areas:
- Addressing physical and mental health needs
- Providing food security
- Ensuring the Korean/Asian American community has access to critical COVID-19 related information in their language
- Providing emergency cash assistance to individuals and families excluded from the federal stimulus package
- Addressing racism and xenophobia targeting the Asian American community
While this pandemic has impacted everyone, we continue to witness acts of generosity and kindness across our community. We believe that our role as a thoughtful bridge-builder for our nonprofit partners and supporters is more important than ever in the midst of this storm. Thank you for joining us to act in solidarity. Stay updated by joining our mailing list.
