The Korean American Community Foundation (KACF) is proud to announce $3 million in grants to strengthen the economic security of the Korean Americans. We invite nonprofits across the United States serving low-income Korean Americans as a target population or within the larger group of constituents they serve to apply for funding for their programs and initiatives.
“This commitment marks a significant step forward in our next phase of growth as a foundation making an impact nationally. We are proud to deepen our investment in impactful organizations and expand our reach to bring together Korean Americans across generations and geography in support of our most vulnerable neighbors. ”
Kyung B. Yoon, President & CEO of KACF
The grant opportunities include:
- Community Grants: Nonprofits based in New York and New Jersey are invited to apply for up to $100,000. Starting this grant cycle, Community Grants will be multi-year (3 years), and grantee partners will no longer be required to reapply after the first year of funding.
- National Grants: Nonprofits based outside of New York and New Jersey are invited to apply for up to $75,000. Starting this grant cycle, National Grants will be multi-year (2 years). This year, our affiliate, the Korean American Community Foundation of San Francisco (KACF-SF) joins the national grantmaking effort and will help underwrite 1-2 National Grants.
The applications for both grant opportunities are available in English and Korean, and KACF encourages organizations to submit proposals in either language. The deadline to submit proposals for Community Grants and National Grants are August 22, 2024 and August 30, 2024, respectively, and funding decisions will be announced in December. Eligibility requirements and important dates can be reviewed on the grants page.
A virtual information session will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at 1pm ET for organizations outside of New York and New Jersey that are interested in applying for a National Grant.
